Intellectual Disability Services

Saint John of God Community Services provide a range of day, residential respite services for people with intellectual disabilities.  We provide these services at our four regions in Ireland.  Click the blue buttons to visit each of the regional websites.

At Dublin South East Services we provide training, employment, social and residential programmes for over 750 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our services are based throughout the Dublin South East region and include the services formerly known as Carmona, City Gate, Saint Augustine’s and STEP.

At Kerry Services we provide training, employment, social and residential programmes for over 300 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our services are based in Beaufort, Caherciveen, Castleisland, Dingle, Kenmare, Killarney, Killorglin, Listowel and Tralee.

Saint John of God Liffey Services, formerly known as Menni Services and Kildare Services, was amalgamated in 2014, to form Liffey Services, a region within St. John of God Community Services clg.

Liffey Services supports over 850 children and adults with intellectual disabilities providing a range of Respite, Residential, Day Services and Early Services. There are two schools, at Islandbridge and Saint Raphael’s Celbridge, which cater for 165 children with intellectual disabilities.

At Saint John of God North East Services we provide residential and day services to some 400 adults with intellectual disabilities in the region.

Residential and day services are primarily based throughout County Louth, but we have some houses in Meath and Monaghan and are planning more in those counties as we progressively transition some 60 people from our campus based residential services (St Mary’s, Drumcar) into supported community housing over the next three to five years.
